About the award

Cogeca’s European Award for Cooperative Innovation aims at recognising outstanding cooperative innovation in the agriculture, food, fishery and forestry sectors.
The award was presented in 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2017. 2020 marks the launch of the fifth edition of the award.

Why enter?

In addition to the prestige of winning the European Award for Cooperative Innovation, winners and finalists will also receive a comprehensive ‘media package’ with which they can showcase their achievement, success and innovations.

The package will include:

PRESENTATION

A presentation of the entries shortlisted during the special award ceremony in Brussels to an audience of leading decision-makers and cooperative representatives.

ANNOUNCEMENT

An announcement dedicated to your success and achievements on social media to Copa-Cogeca’s 20,000 followers which will in turn reach out to our members’ national networks.

VIDEOS

Videos featuring the cooperative innovation that will be made for the winners of the award. You will be able to use all of these materials as you see fit.

HEADLINE STORY

Your success will also be promoted as a headline story in Copa-Cogeca’s newsletters.

BROCHURE

Shortlisted entries will feature in a brochure that will be handed out at the award ceremony.

PLATFORM

All entries will appear on the 17reasonstocoop.eu platform which is dedicated to promoting agri-cooperatives’ commitment to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Eligibility criteria

The award is open to any cooperative in the agricultural, forestry, agri-food, bioeconomy or fishery sector that is a member of one of Cogeca’s full or affiliated members.

Applications can be submitted by cooperatives of all levels, shapes and sizes in the above-mentioned sectors that have successfully introduced or helped to develop cooperative innovation in one or more European Union Member State(s).
